Collie Retired Mineworkers Association Inc.

For every completed Local Voices survey, Voconiq donates to the registered community group of your choice.

One of those groups is the Collie Retired Mineworkers Association.

" We are the Collie Retired Mineworkers which was formed back in 2001. We have 65 members with them either working at Premier or Griffin Coal Mining Companies.

The group was formed to keep so the retired men could keep in touch with having meetings once a month, go on social outings, helping other community groups and doing mining projects.

We have helped the Lions and Cycle clubs with the Xmas pageant, Cheerio Club, Collie Museum, Collie Visitor Centre when they have asked for help.
To keep active we do mining projects to save the history of coal mining in Collie as we are transitioning into tourism.

We have completed the Pit Pony and Miner Statue in Phoenix Park, The Wallsend Underground Mine, a mural at Phoenix Park, we are currenting restoring the Stockton Arch and also the Dragline we are hoping to refurbish it and move the Dragline into Collie for everyone to see.

The rewards from Voconiq Local Voices would help us out with our projects with buying materials we need. "
