Full Circle Therapies provide the children of Kalgoorlie-Boulder with a range of services to support individual needs.
Full Circle Therapies started 10 years ago to provide support for one child with autism and have grown to 75 clients and a team of local therapist and Allied Health professionals. The provide Psychology, Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Individual and group therapy, social skills groups and family support groups.
Chief Operating Officer of Full Circle Kirsty Brooks acknowledges that one of the most important things parents forget when caring for children with disabilities is to look after themselves. This year they have introduced weekly support groups and training sessions for families and parents to connect with others, share their experiences and and take time out for themselves.
Being a not-for-profit means that all fundraising efforts all go straight back into the centre.
“Everytime there is a demand for something, we work out what’s best practice, what’s the evidence behind it, and we try to run that program”
The centre is continually growing to meet the demands of Kalgoorlie-Boulder. They have recently completed a Therapy Garden and the next big project is to build a purpose built therapy centre. All money raised through Local Voices will support this project.
