Chalice Mining have engaged Voconiq to deliver the Local Voices program, a confidential online survey series to help them better understand the concerns, needs and priorities of the communities neighbouring the Gonneville Project.

Community members aged 16 years and older in the communities surrounding Chalice Mining's Gonneville Project or have a special interest in the Project, are invited to express their views. The next survey is scheduled for October 2023 - register below to receive an invitation when the survey opens:

The Gonneville Project

In March 2020, Chalice Mining made a significant mineral discovery at the Gonneville Project, near Toodyay, about 70 km northeast of Perth. The initial discovery is located on Chalice owned farmland.

Since the discovery, Chalice have been exploring the area to determine the size of the deposit, including low-impact exploration north of the area, in the Julimar State Forest.

The project is in the ‘Feasibility and Permitting stage,’ and Chalice are currently completing scoping studies, to determine if the discovery can be developed into a potential future mine.

About Local Voices

Voconiq Local Voices is a unique community engagement program using research developed over 10 years within Australia's national science agency, CSIRO. We give communities a voice that is being heard by the company and is helping inform business decision making.

We do this with a series of short surveys. A detailed 'anchor' survey is conducted to understand the key drivers of trust in the community, followed by regular 'pulse' surveys to track any changes in community sentiment over time. While Chalice may not be able to solve every issue raised, it will be better informed on the things that matter most to your local community.

How we work with you:

Community Rewards

We understand that time is valuable and want to reward participants and support the local community at the same time. Every time a survey is completed, participants can assign a donation to one or more community groups registered in the Rewards program. $10 is unlocked for each 'anchor' survey and $5 for each completed 'pulse' survey.

Local not-for-profit community groups (such as sporting clubs, school P&Cs, community clubs and organisations) are eligible and encouraged to register and start receiving rewards.

Frequently Asked Questions

Local Voices is a specialised service offered by Voconiq which captures a full spectrum of opinion at a grassroots level around an industrial operation. It is a way for organisations to conduct a long-term regular analysis of community attitudes to the company’s operations in and around specific communities. It gives the communities neighbouring the operations a voice that is being heard by the company and is helping to inform business decision making.

A detailed 'anchor' survey (or baseline) is conducted to understand the key trust drivers in the community, followed by regular 'pulse' surveys to track changes over time. Surveys can be completed online, on mobile, pen and paper, or through brief phone interviews.

In addition, every survey can help earn money for local not-for-profit groups through the Voconiq Local Voices Community Reward Program. Every time a survey is completed, community members can assign a donation to one or more community groups registered with Voconiq.
