Native Animal Rescue Broome

Participants of the survey can choose which group can benefit from their time. One of the groups based in Broome is Native Animal Rescue Broome (NARB).

 

"NARB is a volunteer group with the following purpose - Treat and care for sick, injured, orphaned and displaced land and marine native animals. Rehabilitate back into their environment. Contribute to conservation strategies in collaboration with various agencies. Provide resources and facilities for training of practitioners in wildlife management, support research, and education of wider community in wildlife issues. Educate veterinary students in care and handling of wildlife. Marine Turtle project is a new project to build a purpose built turtle rehabilitation facility in Broome to encourage greater volunteer participation, offering educational opportunities to schools, the community and tourists."
